Yoga is an ancient practice that has been around for many years. There are many types of yoga practices, offering people various options to choose from. They range from a Gentle Class to an Advanced Level Class, as well as from a cooler temperature yoga to an extremely hot yoga practice.
Along with my bodywork training in Acupuncture and Massage, I have trained in many different specialties of yoga. They are Hatha Yoga, Barkan Hot Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga, Yoga For Scoliosis, Thai Yoga Therapy, Advanced Sequencing Postures, Yoga For Cancer and Multiple Sclerosis, just to name a few.
Assisting an individual with Yoga Therapy, is to be able to have a working knowledge of the body, how it operates, as well as, a vast array of yoga postures to be able to help each individual, to strengthen, stretch, and be the best version of themselves.
Sometimes with Yoga and Yoga Therapy, it about letting the person know that they are able to go to the next level, without injury, and allowing them to reach that goal. It is about balance and trust between the student and myself.
Classes are done privately, or in a group setting.
Restorative Yoga and Acupuncture with Essential Oils
Restorative Yoga is such a wonderful way to allow the body to simply decompress, and bring balance to the body, mind and spirit. At Fingers From Heaven, we bring a beautiful union of allowing the body to surrender to itself, and to allow the mind to follow, taking a mini mental vacation. Whether it be a large or small gathering, we assist the student into postures with the use of props, (such as bolsters, blankets, and whatever else we need for them to achieve balance). Once the person is in this place, we follow up with Gentle Massage, using Essential Oils, to allow the body to relax even deeper, and continue with Acupuncture, while they are in that restorative pose. By combining of all these modalities, each recipient relaxes even more deeply into a state of bliss, thereby bringing their mind into stillness simultaneously.
Essential Oils aid the body in letting go of all the tension, and allowing the nervous system to relax and function properly.
